Many of us ride for pleasure, and some of us have our own horses.

Riding is an exciting sport, technically challenging if you are competing, and highly pleasurable.

But horses have minds of their own, and sometimes accidents can happen.

Most riding and horse related accidents will be just that - an accident, with no particular cause, and no one at fault.

Sometimes, however, there will be some other cause - perhaps an item of tack broke; perhaps the rider was "over horsed", perhaps the tuition or supervision fell short of standard, perhaps a passing driver was driving without due care and attention (or even dangerously) and caused the accident.
